I think Paula's two templates are clean and simple. Very nice. However, there is NO location for an individual's name if you want to include a company name. So business cards are without a person's name. Can this be changed? Thank you. D 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi D:

I just want you to know how much we appreciate your feedback -- especially the constructive criticism.

Because of tips and suggestions like yours, we're in the midst of improving the Paula Scher templates. You'll still be able to use them as is for the next few weeks, but please know that improvements are in the works and will hopefully be published in January. (Personally, I'm hoping for sooner but with the holidays approaching...?).

I also want to personally thank you for joining our SMB community. Stay tuned for improved navigation, categories, discussions, Sweetpea updates and more case studies that we hope will help you and your business.

Of course, I also look forward to reading more of your stories and comments!

Regards,
Angela

RE: Templates: HP has many more free business templates
Nov 12 2007, 12:17 AM EST
Hi D:
I just wanted to follow up again to see if I can help you find a solution. You may not know that HP offers other professionally designed business templates, including complete business identity kits -- free of charge. If you prefer, you can also access indiviudal templates if you only require one type of marketing (such as a business card template).

All of these can be accessed from this community's Create page: http://expressioncentersmb.wetpaint.com/page/Create
See the topic at the top of the page "Customize Free HP Identity Kits for your Business" for more information.

Or you can go directly to our In-House Marketing site on HP.com to see all the free templates and other services available to your business:

Thanks again.

Angela,
Thanks for the info. I too found Paula's stuff to be simple and neat and was wondering about not being able to put a title on the biz cards. (in addition to an employe name). But then again, for the very simple case, I like the option of not having it also. I hope that in what you do, both options will be available.

But a bigger issue .. while trying it out, when I download a pdf I got the
"Couldn't find the fond in the resource dictionary" error in adobe. As a result, what I'm getting is some generic stuff and it doesn't look that good. I looked under the "materials you need" folder but it only has printing directions and the like.

Can you tell me what I need to do to solve this? Aren't others having this same issue?

Thanks,
Kumar

Hi Kumar:
I'm not familiar with the error code you received, but I'll certainly forward it to the appropriate team to see if anyone else has reported this issue and if we have a fix.

Regards,
Angela

Thanks. I'll await a response. The issues seems to be that Paula is using fonts that's not in my Adobe reader and so it doesn't display it as I see it on the site. Question is how to get her fonts embedded in my adobe reader. Again, I'll await whatever you find out.
Thanks,
Kumar
