The Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show

Oregon Handmade Bicycle ShowWe had been involved with organizing this event for the last five months or so, and if you thought going to an event was hard - putting on the event and going to it is way harder. But when you are involved with the planning, you get to do some neat things. Like invite all the bike builders in the state to show their craft . . . all of them. The response was incredible, and we were so busy the entire time, I only got to take one picture.

Marketing PricelistHere are the price lists that we took with us to the show. We ran out of them! Everyone loved the full color images.

NY Times interviewNov 5

For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, Portland got a little love from the New York Times today. This cool little article covered the intersection of bike business and culture in Portland. Nat got a little coverage in the video that accompanied the article and got to say the word “vernacular.”

Marketing news updates - Tag Team Web 1.9Its really nice to be noticed. Especially by folks you look up to. That happened last week, when we got a call from Patagonia asking us to display a couple of bikes in the store and featuring our commitment to 1% for the Planet.

I think of Sweet Pea as strong, exuberant and joyful.
We were looking for some logo that would look strong, clean and clear, and would communicate a kind of vibrancy, nothing flowery, nothing ornate -- just clear about itself.
